You can tell it's created with love and not just with profit in mind. They're always accommodating to my son with special needs, and we love the range of pumpkins and things to do. Thanks Finn and the team! <3Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Felisbela Dias12/11/2023A truly wonderful experience with the little ones, they loved every bit.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Just a mother on A mission31/10/2023We visited last year and was not disappointed. I went to book this year and there were no slots free, I contacted via Facebook and they had released a few more for the next day. My 2 children and their dad went on Sunday and got 3 lovely pumpkins. Recommended to anybody local, support local businesses :)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Peter Looseley30/10/2023Fantastic experince, lovely staff.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Sarah Gibney30/10/2023Amazing little pumpkin patch, so well thought out and really lovely little afternoon in the country air. Games and trails set out for children it was a blast. It wasn’t just about pumpkins and Halloween but also about how to cook with the produce and what the flavoured squash or pumpkin best go with, lots of knowledgeable people and information given too. Can’t wait to come along next year. Kind regards Gullen-Matthews Family
Otto’s Pumpkin Patch Essex (Braintree)
The Cousins family can trace their roots back 8 generations to 1798. Since then a variety of crops and animals have been farmed there. A little notoriety was even gained by Joe Cousins and his Essex pigs when they met the Queen Mother! However 2022 was the first time pumpkins were grown on the farm.
The diversification was the idea of recent St Andrews’ graduate Finn Cousins. After admiring similar pumpkin patches in Scotland he thought his home farm could do with its own patch! Numerous planning meetings later the idea became a reality…
Along the way family and friends have made this journey possible: Mum and Dad Cousins, even Grandpa Cousins have all shared their insight and knowledge to get the pumpkin patch up and running.
We are now looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our second ever Otto’s Pumpkin Patch. We learnt so much last year and this year we are ready and raring to go with more varieties and more things to do. We look forward to welcoming old and new faces!
